"I'm ready to believe you."
July 10, 2008

Whipped these cards up this evening, as something to hand out at San Diego to promote the webcomic. I was pretty pleased with myself over these, believe it or not. Sadly, now my fictional character has better calling cards than I do. Not sure what to make of that...

8-Bit Tarot #55: Seven of Cups
April 17, 2008

And the original:

I'm so happy I even managed to get the hidden skull in there!

This leaves only one card left in the suit of Cups - the three - but unfortunately, that's going to be the last one I do, for reasons which should be clear to anyone who is familiar with the card and it's meaning. Anyhow, the next one I do will be the six of swords, a suit that's been badly neglected thus far.

8-Bit Tarot #50: Ten of Cups
December 25, 2007

At long last, another Tarot card!

And the original:

I tell ya, I should have designed those cups a little smaller. But, I got them all to fit, so I guess that's something. I'm going to see what I can do about getting a couple more done this week. I've been thinking about the deck a lot lately, and my plan is to start releasing the deck in small packs until it's all done. Keep checking here for updates on The Plan.

An Illustrator-for-hire is Me!
December 7, 2007

Hey! After far too many years of letting it languish in relative obscurity in the dusty, hidden corners of my still-not-complete site, I've finally gotten around to updating my Illustration Portfolio, and adding a link to it from the Art page for easier locatability!

Why, you ask? Well, because I'm also finally opening myself up for commissions, contract design, icon and graphics work, and well, I needed something to show. And there it is. So think about what art-workings you might need, and then dang it, drop me a line!

Periodic Table pictorial poster
May 17, 2007

I don't usually post things that aren't my own, but I wanted to share this with anyone who hadn't seen it before, and also to remind myself to order one:

A Pictorial representation of the Elements, by Theodore Grey:

I don't know how long this thing has been around, but I saw it on tv the other day (Mythbusters..? maybe?) and really liked the design. Plus, Helvetica!
